Series of 4 acrylic paintings and 1 watercolour painting focusing on the topic of hair, mimicking existing paintings. The project is based on the works of James Jean, Szűcs Attila, Shin Sun Hye, Anna Tsvell.
I chose to pay hommage to artworks that communicated the common experience of having long hair, for example letting it down or braiding it. Through these relatable acts, hair becomes more than just hair, it is a point for connection.
